La serie The Mist ha estado filmándose en Halifax desde julio a noviembre de 2016. Y desde la producción de la misma han compartido una galería de imágenes.
Terry Quennell, director de arte, dijo con respecto a la serie:
«Creo que nuestros efectos especiales son realmente buenos, creo que la historia es muy buena, y me gustaría pensar que tiene piernas. Me encantaría que durara tres, cuatro o cinco temporadas. Haven estuvo seis años».
